Mr. Gibbons joined Kormendi \ Gardner Partners in 2010 as a financial analyst and focuses primarily on financial modeling and in-depth data analysis. His strong reasoning and problem-solving capabilities, combined with his outstanding mathematical skills, allow him to regularly complete assignments efficiently and accurately.
Currently, he is the lead analyst for KGP’s SEC Independent Distribution Consultant engagement to allocate and distribute $15 million to harmed investors in this market timing case. His mathematical and problem-solving strengths have facilitated the development of an intuitive methodology to estimate damages for accountholders for which limited data is available. His ability to independently and efficiently analyze and reconcile data from multiple sources and ability to create models to forecast the scope of damage payments help to assure accuracy without sacrificing time-efficiency. He has written macros in VBA to streamline iterative and normally time-consuming tasks to maintain this efficiency on multiple occasions.
Mr. Gibbons is an integral member in KGP’s financial advisory and private equity services and is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing a diverse set of cash-flow valuation models. Erik works closely with senior management to efficiently create supplementary models and ad-hoc reporting on an as-need basis.
Erik contributes to all on-going KGP assignments with his strong attention to detail, expert Excel skills and his ability to quickly master new software and analytical tools. In addition to his work in finance and economics, Mr. Gibbons supports KGP’s technical needs through his strong command of network troubleshooting, programming and other computer-related areas.
Mr. Gibbons holds a B.S. in Finance from George Mason University with a minor in economics.
