Alex Kormendi

Mr. Kormendi is the lead analyst responsible for developing and managing cash flow and valuation models in connection with KGP’s financial advisory and private equity services. His finance acumen, critical thinking skills, and exceptional math and computer abilities help ensure that KGP develops comprehensive models that are designed to detail the effects of a broad range of parameters and to anticipate potential unintended consequences through the implementation of robust sensitivity analyses.

His current project entails developing multiple valuation and investor return models designed to project deal performance and mitigate risk under a variety of corporate structures and a range of economic scenarios for a private equity investment. These analyses provide the framework for the ultimate investment structure, which is designed to conform to KGP’s core philosophy of aligning economic incentives.

Mr. Kormendi is also an integral member of the KGP team working on the SEC Independent Distribution Consultant engagement, developing and implementing data reconciliation programs to address quality control and quality assurance issues. Additionally, he has supported expert witness testimony for KGP’s NBA engagement by conducting in-depth research, developing data sources, performing statistical regressions and drafting financial and valuation analyses.

Prior to joining KGP, Mr. Kormendi was employed by KPMG where he performed analysis for a sell side middle market M&A bank; valued targets and identified potential acquirers using proprietary information and subscription data services such as Capital IQ, OneSource and LexisNexis; worked with industry teams to create pitch books presented to potential clients, including in-depth valuation and strategic analysis of the company, its sector and positioning; and, wrote monthly industry newsletters for the logistics, security and advertising sectors.

Mr. Kormendi holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics with a concentration in Finance from The Johns Hopkins University.
